AUDIO [resume] |
Audio engineering has always been more than just a hobby for me. Even at an early age I started recording music using whatever tools I could find. Below are a few of my most recent recordings using professional equipment: STICK TOGETHER The song "Stick Together" is by the Nashville, Tennessee band The Features. The band has four members: Matt Pelham-Guitar and Vocals, Parrish Yaw-Keyboards, Roger Dabbs-Bass, and Rollum Hass-Drums. The song was recorded using three different recording consoles using, Quantegy analog tape. The first was an Otari analog board which was used for the Drums, Bass, and Rhythm Guitar tracks. The Piano, B3 organ, and Keyboard parts were all recorded with a Studer D950 all digital board. The Vocals were recorded through an AKG Solid Tube mic, using an Avalon tube compressor, and an SSL (Solid State Logic) console. The final mix-down was done using the SSL. My responsibility was as Audio Engineer, and Dave McLean as the Second Engineer. BREAKDOWN The Katies (Nashville, TN) performed a live version of the Tom Petty song "Breakdown". I recorded and engineered the song with a Neotek Analog Board onto two-track analog tape. |
